A Rough Couple of Days...

The last few days have not been the most enjoyable at the Walton home. Riley started running a fever late Thursday; Friday we took him to the doctor. Dr. Shirley put him on an antibiotic for strep and to clear up some "pink" in his ears. He stopped eating and his fever got as high as 102.8 Saturday afternoon. Meems and Peeps were here (thank goodness!) to help because he has required round-the-clock attention. He's feeling a little better now but is still not eating like normal. We've changed antibiotics today and hope that will speed up the recovery a bit.

We had planned a trip to see Aunt Joyce in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the end of the week, but we're not sure if we're going to feel well enough to go. Gran and Granny got a new camper and were going to let us borrow it for the trip. We're waiting to see how everyone feels - no germs around Aunt Joyce right now!
