Busy Week!

This has been a crazy week. I'm not sure we could have fit anything else into it, but we've made it to the weekend and are enjoying  a little down time. 

Riley has identified some new books that have become "must reads"...several times a day. A few weeks ago, we found some Veggie Tales books. One is bigger and brighter, and he goes through the pages pretty quickly - pointing out "Bob" (the tomato) as we go. The other is a bible story book and he's much more deliberate with his reading. It may take him five minutes, but I think he looks at every page. He's also become quite attached to a train book that his cousins Zach and Reagan sent last year. He loves the "chugga chugga" and "clickety clack" noises that we make when we read it.

Riley experienced his first MSU tailgate last week (will post pictures soon!). I think he had a great time but it was miserable for me. It was too hot, there were too many people, and there was not enough "open space" for him to roam. He was into everything - even if it wasn't at our tailgate (sorry to all those around us!!).

He did get to see his cousins Willie and Ruby last week and had a ball wrestling with Willie! I wish we were closer to all of Riley's cousins!!
